Sunderland vs Arsenal

At 12.45 pm on Saturday 29th October Arsenal took on Sunderland at The Stadium of light. Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring, finishing off a world-class 22 pass move to head the ball past Jordan Pickford. The half time score was 1-0 but shortly after the break Petr Cech clumsily tripped Duncan Watmore (mini Kevin de Bruyne!) inside the penalty area. The referee pointed to the spot and Cech was shown the yellow card for his troubles. Jermain Defoe blasted the penalty straight down the middle and celebrated with his team mates. Olivier Giroud was brought on for Nigerian Alex Iwobi. Giroud scored a powerful acrobatic volley soon after coming on and then followed that with a brilliant looping header. Alexis scored again- this one an easy tap in. The game finished Sunderland 1. Arsenal 4.
